Improv Workshop with Bruce Randolph Nelson
with Bruce Randolph Nelson
Improv isn’t about being funny—it’s about being present. This three-hour beginner session uses core improv principles like “Yes, and,” deep listening, and collaboration to build compassion, openness, and resilience. Through playful, low-pressure exercises, participants learn to respond instead of react, support instead of control, and stay curious instead of defensive. The skills transfer directly to everyday life—relationships, work, creativity, and leadership. You’ll leave feeling energized and connected. No experience required—just a willingness to show up and say yes.
Audition Workshop with Bruce Randolph Nelson

The Audition Monologue: Deepening Your Work. A three-hour intensive for the experienced actor. During this intimate, hands-on workshop, each actor will select one monologue of the two they bring, to explore through individual coaching. Together, we’ll dig beneath the words to deepen your understanding of the character, clarify the circumstances and stakes, and broaden the choices you’ve already created. With enrollment capped at five actors, every participant will receive substantial one-on-one attention and the opportunity for focused exploration in a supportive room of experienced peers. Leave with a piece that puts your best work forward as you enter audition season. Three hours. Five actors. One monologue. A deeper dive.
Please send your acting resume to education@everymantheatre.org to be considered for the class. If approved, we will send you a private link to register. (First come, first served basis)
